During phase one, creators enable StarterGui.ClipsDescendantsSupportsRotation in Studio. Rotated children and Path2D instances are then clipped against an unrotated parent GuiObject regardless of each child’s rotation. Roblox says the change has no new performance implications.
The setting is due to become enabled by default in August 2026, when existing interfaces may show visual changes. Teams can temporarily disable it and republish while adapting layouts. In November, Roblox plans to remove the switch and make the behavior mandatory for new and existing games. To preserve an intentionally overflowing element, disable ClipsDescendants on its parent or move it to a higher-z-index sibling.
