Roblox introduced the first 2026 Incubator cohort. The program includes 26 teams moving through a six-month path from prototype toward a more polished project. The focus is on novel games: new genres, mechanics and visual styles, often aimed at older players.
Roblox's early overview includes open-world driving, cozy farming and building, car combat, a dinosaur extraction shooter and PvPvE projects from experienced teams. The games also fit the company's broader strategy around higher DevEx for 18+ audiences.
The Incubator sits alongside the higher 18+ DevEx rate as parts of one strategy: Roblox wants flagship-quality genre games it can point to when arguing the platform is not just for kids. For the 26 teams, the six months mean direct platform support, engineering contact and visibility most small studios never get.
