Roblox said Recommended For You is moving away from earlier 7-day proxies toward a wider 28-day view. The change is meant to better distinguish games that win a first click from experiences players actually return to.
The company is also showing creators the signals and relative importance behind recommendations. That makes Creator Analytics more practical: developers can look beyond clicks toward session quality, returns, social play and long-term value.
The shift quietly re-prices whole genres. Event-driven games that spike and fade lose ground to experiences with habits built in — dailies, collections, social bases — while 'one great session' games need a return hook. It also narrows the gap between what Roblox rewards and what mobile free-to-play has optimized for years: 28-day cohorts, not launch-day clicks.
