Script Sync mirrors Script, LocalScript, ModuleScript and Folder instances with Luau files and folders on disk. Changes made in Studio or an external editor flow automatically in both directions, folder structure is preserved, and synchronization resumes when a place is reopened.
The full release adds four beta-driven improvements: deleting a synced item no longer removes unmanaged assets or non-Luau files; a detailed dialog previews additions, edits and deletions before resolving disk-versus-Studio conflicts; one “Sync to…” action replaces several menu choices; and Team Create now shows when a collaborator is syncing an instance.
Creators start by right-clicking a script folder in Explorer, selecting “Sync to…” and choosing a local directory. Each top-level sync supports up to 10,000 scripts, with as many as 128 top-level synced instances. Script Sync does not provide version history, and Roblox advises teams to avoid editing the same synced script simultaneously.
