Roblox has made Roblox Kids and Roblox Select globally available. The account types are designed to shape the experience around a user's age, including which experiences can be accessed, how chat works and which settings stay under parental control.
Roblox Kids uses the strictest defaults, including chat turned off by default for the youngest users. Roblox Select gives teens more freedom while keeping age-based limits and parental settings. Developers also need to account for extra review on experiences available to users under 16.
The global switch follows a limited rollout in Australia, Indonesia, the Netherlands and New Zealand, and lands inside Roblox's wider age-check push: age estimation and ID verification are becoming the backbone for chat access and account tiers. For most families the practical change is that sensible defaults now arrive out of the box instead of hiding in settings.
