The 'Pal Hair' item — brown angular strands that genuinely resemble bacon — ships free with new accounts, so wearing it marks you as fresh. The community shortened that to bacon hair, or just bacon.
Like noob, the term flipped from mockery to identity: bacon-hair heroes star in Roblox animations and stories, usually as underdogs beating rich avatars. Removing the bacon is still the classic first purchase of any new player.
